After the BL001 and BL002 turned into highly sought-after collector pieces, Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini are back with the next chapter: the BL003. What is the BL003?
The BL003 is a limited-edition Padel racket developed jointly by Babolat and Lamborghini. The goal was simple: combine Babolat’s on-court performance expertise with Lamborghini’s structural design thinking and carbon engineering, then package it into a racket that feels fast, powerful, and incredibly precise.
Babolat describes it as a racket that fuses extreme power, agile manoeuvrability, and bold Lamborghini design. In other words, it’s made to feel explosive when you attack, quick when you defend, and stable when you hit under pressure.
What it’s built with:
The BL003 uses next-generation materials that are a big part of what makes this collaboration special. It features 3K carbon on the surface, and a carbon frame reinforced with KORIDION, a foam derived from patented technology used in Lamborghini vehicles. It’s also built with a protective thermoplastic coating designed to improve comfort at impact and help with long-term durability.
The BL003 is handcrafted at Babolat’s Padel Studio in Spain, where their most exclusive rackets are produced in limited quantities. That’s another reason these releases feel premium from the moment you hold them.
Why the BL series matters:
This collaboration started in 2024 with the BL001, which introduced Lamborghini-grade carbon engineering into a Padel racket in a way the sport hadn’t really seen before. In 2025, the BL002 followed and quickly became a standout release for its improved stability, unique material approach, and unmistakable Lamborghini-inspired design.
Now the BL003 takes the story forward. It’s the latest evolution of a partnership built around performance, innovation, and detail, and it’s aimed at players who want a serious product with serious presence.
Release and availability in South Africa:
The BL003 releases on 5 February 2026 through PADEL GRAIL, in extremely limited quantity.
Babolat South Africa only brings in a very small number of units, so stock is extremely limited. If you’re keen on getting your hands on one of these collector pieces, you’ll need to move quickly.
