Babolat x Lamborghini BL002 Launch Event in South Africa
At PADEL GRAIL, we’ve had the chance to see some incredible gear over the years. But nothing has matched the excitement, the design, and the pure exclusivity of this one - The Babolat x Lamborghini BL002.
The frame of the BL002 is crafted using the same 3K carbon fibre and Koridion foam found in Lamborghini’s supercars, giving it a super stiff, ultra-light feel with incredible precision. The 360g isometric-shaped frame is designed for explosive power and fast, controlled swings.
It’s loaded with tech - from Power On Demand, which gives you that punch when you need it, to Twistweight for better balance, a thermoformed TPS face, and a spin-friendly texture for sharper, more controlled shots.
You can choose between two insane finishes: Stealth Black and Lamborghini Green - and both look as premium as they feel. It’s the kind of racket you’ll be proud to show off before you even hit your first shot.
Unlike the BL001 which was built in Italy, the BL002 was developed entirely at Babolat’s Padel Studio in Barcelona, with Lamborghini’s engineers on-site to help. It’s a global product - born from precision, collaboration, and a shared obsession with performance.
An Iconic Launch Night in the Vaal
To celebrate this world-class collaboration, PADEL GRAIL hosted a VIP launch event right here in the Vaal, at the amazing 10by20 club in Three Rivers. It was a night to remember - and a first of its kind for our growing Padel community.
VIP clients were invited to an exclusive showcase where they could experience the BL002 rackets up close before anyone else. From the moment guests arrived, there was a buzz in the air - great energy, amazing food and drinks, and the best part? An actual Lamborghini Urus on display next to the rackets, courtesy of a very special guest who helped us take things to another level.
We introduced the BL002 range in style, and everyone got a chance to feel just how special this product is — not just in design, but in how it represents the future of Padel. The feedback from our community was incredible, and more than anything, the night reminded us why we do this.
This is exactly what we’re working to build here in the Vaal — a strong, exciting, and passionate Padel community that feels world-class and connected. Events like this are about more than just gear — they’re about growing the sport, creating experiences, and getting more people involved and inspired.
We were also joined by the incredible Badger Group, our community partners in growing the sport of Padel here in the Vaal and across South Africa. Together, we’re working to use the power of sport, positivity, and community to drive awareness around important causes, grow interest in Padel, and build a welcoming space where people can connect, play, and be part of something meaningful.
Only a handful of units were officially assigned to South Africa, and PADEL GRAIL is honoured to have been able to offer such a limited and prestigious product to our clients. A special thank you to Babolat South Africa for including us in this incredible release.
